Madrona, WA

Designed by Lauren Galante at Studio Terrain | Built by Terrain

Tucked into a modest Madrona backyard, this outdoor space proves that good design doesn’t need sprawling square footage—just creativity and the right materials. Designed at the height of Seattle’s COVID lockdowns, the goal was simple: create an urban escape that felt like a true extension of the home.

Studio Terrain’s vision paired perfectly with WWOO. Our modular concrete outdoor kitchen anchors the dining and BBQ zone beneath a sleek louvered roof, offering both shelter and style year-round. The custom layout includes ample countertop space, integrated open shelving, and a professional-grade grill, all framed by the clean lines of our signature concrete panels. Woven storage baskets and warm wood details bring softness to the industrial edge.

Large concrete pavers connect this culinary zone to a cozy lounge outfitted with a cantilevered Ipe bench and fire pit, while a combination of synthetic turf and low-maintenance plantings ensure the yard stays crisp and clean without constant upkeep.

This project shows how WWOO can elevate even the smallest outdoor spaces—transforming them into high-functioning, high-design retreats built to last.
